To Thine Own Self be True
To thine own self be true, and it must follow, as the night the day, thou canst not then be false to any man. – William Shakespeare

Journaling has been very beneficial in my life for a variety of reasons: I have been able to sort through my feelings, problems, plans and goals though journaling. Journaling has been another form of creativity with art, painting, drawing, collage and so much more. Journaling can be pen, paper, notebooks, diaries, journal books, and digital. Journaling can be a historical account of your family, memory books of your kids and grandkids or memoir of your life. Journaling is what you want it to be, personal or public.

Why Keep a Personal Journal?
Journaling is easy, just about cost-free, and incredibly helpful to the individual in a multitude of ways.
Evolving to become all that you can be requires effort on your part.
People are naturally built to imagine something better and then go after it.
So many of us, though, don’t know how to take the first steps.
Journal writing is a direct route to the knowledge, confidence, and faith that let us grow and change with joy.
Journal writing is a daily habit that:
- Needs no more than a pen and notebook:
- Creates breathing space around your issues, whatever they may be;
- Bring solutions through consistent inquiry and self-expression.
Why Other’s Journal:
“Because my memory is shot!!! LOL ok seriously, memories and lessons. I learn all about me, lessons and most of all I do it for healing. There are things I share with my Journal I could never convey to others about my life and my lifes Journey.” Steph Jordan
“It’s a way for me to find out what I am really feeling and thinking. (Journaling now for 28 years.) I think it has probably saved me more than a few times.” Sarah Malm Lutter
“For several reasons: 1) To keep my sanity. 2) To help me sleep. If I don’t journal and “talk to myself” about dreams, recent events, etc. then I can’t sleep well until I do. 3) To understand and decipher my dreams. 4) To keep a record of my life as a legacy. 5) To keep a record of my thoughts for my future books…” Raymonde Savoie
“I am so grateful for being introduced to journaling, it has made an amazing difference to my life. There are a few reasons why I journal. I use it as a way to keep my thoughts on track, to be self loving, to sort through problems and find solutions and to manage my mood.” Kae White
“Because it is an essential part of my growth and spiritual practice; it also connects me with me.” Rhiannon Hopkins
